The Danish Association of Trainees in Gynaecology and Obstetrics (FYGO) was established in 1983 as a section of the Danish Society of Obstetrics and Gynaecology (DSOG).

The aims of FYGO are to promote the education and the professional interests of trainees and young specialists in obstetrics-gynaecology.
 

FYGO organizes courses, holds an annual meeting and issues a regularly updated "handbook" for trainees in obstetrics-gynaecology via the website.

FYGO is actively engaged in international co-operation through the European Network of Trainees in Obstetrics and Gynaecology (ENTOG) and the Nordic Federation of Young Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (NFYOG) (www.nfog.org). As usual NFYOG planned a pre-congress symposium for younger Nordic colleagues june 15. 2010 in Copenhagen. 

The President of FYGO is Marie Storkholm.
